Background:

I grew up just a short drive down US-22 in Oakdale, PA. Seven years ago, my husband, Kevin and I, bought a house in Weirton. We moved in with our two cats, Max and Libby. Since then, we've been through a pandemic, a water crisis, started new careers, and made this little slice of Almost Heaven our home. Living here, I've been amazed at the sense of community that Weirton and Hancock County have. No matter what is going on, we can count on our neighbors. Hancock County provided my husband and I the ability to put down roots and build our lives. I'd like to make sure that others have that same opportunity and repay some of that kindness that we've experienced since living here.

I am the oldest of two sisters and I am proud to play the role of "Fun Aunt" for my sister and my husband's siblings. I have 5 nephews and 3 nieces with another on the way.

I have a deep family connection here in Hancock County. My great-great-grandfather, John Franklin Haney, owned two grocery stores in Chester in the early 20th century. The Haneys also partnered to own the Goddard Bakery. I look forward to continuing the family tradition of serving and providing for our community.

Education:

I graduated Summa Cum Laude from Indiana University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology and a minor in Psychology. My educational journey has honed my critical thinking and analytical skills. I have a strong passion for learning and enjoy researching issues to fully understand them and make well informed decisions.

Professional Life:

My background may not be in politics, but it is in serving people. I've got 20+ years of experience in retail, customer service, hospitality, and the mortgage industry with roles in logistics, QA, and funding. I currently own and operate a small online retail business and host virtual escape room games for world-wide corporate team-building events. Those experiences have taught me how to manage budgets, solve problems, communicate clearly, and bring people together to work toward a common goal. They’ve also shown me the importance of staying calm under pressure, adapting to challenges, and treating every person with respect.
